Caution!! Proceed only if you are okay with having a serious addiction to one of the most delicious baked goodies you will ever taste!! :D
I mean this guys..coz these cookie bars or delights as I call them; are really awesome and not to mention; so simple to make!! When you make these, I guarantee that you'll impress your friends and family and earn the "Best Chef" title for sure :)
Ingredients:
Graham cracker crumbs - 2 cups
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Melted butter - 1/2 cup
Sweetened condensed milk - 1 can (14 oz)
Flaked coconut - 1 n 1/3 cup
Chopped Almonds - 1 cup
Chocolate chips - 1/2 cup
Method:
- In a mixing bowl combine the crumbs and sugar. Add the melted butter and mix until combined.
- Press this mixture onto the bottom of a baking pan. (Preferably 13 x 9 x 2 in)
- Now, evenly drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the crumbs and refrigerate for 10 min.
- Sprinkle with the coconut and almonds.
- Bake at 350 degree F for 25 - 30 min or until light brown
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top as soon as you get it out of the oven. Then cool completely and cut into bars. This recipe will yield around 24 bars.
Tips:
- You can make this fruity by adding some fruit preserves like raspberry preserves when you pull it out of the fridge.
- I like to overload this with coconut and almonds as I love the taste and crispiness that it gives to the bars. (Increase the amount of coconut up to 2 cups instead of 1 n 1/3, if you love it too)
- Use your own favorite nuts.
