- Now, prepare the filling of mutter (optional) by sautéing onions, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt and finally green peas in oil. When done, slightly mash this prepared filling.
- Next, make 6-8 equal balls of the potatoes and flatten it using oiled palms.
- Add a tb sp or 2 of the mutter filling in center, cover with the mash potatoes and prepare round tikkis.
- Coat the tikkis with little cornstarch and shallow fry till golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- For final assembly, place 2 tikkis in a serving plate and put green chutney n sweet sour chutney on the top.
- Sprinkle chaat masala, diced onions, sev n yougurt(add salt and sugar to it)
- Finish with coriander leaves n enjoy!!
Tips:
If you want, you can skip the green peas filling. This will make the entire process easier and faster!
Healthy twist:
Instead of shallow frying you can just use a cooking spray to cook the tikkis or even bake them!! They taste equally delish!
