Chocolate toast

Remember those moments when you have really strong cravings for a dessert but do not have enough time or all the ingredients to make one? Well, this dessert will come to your rescue then. You hardly need a few things which are easily available in everyone's pantries. Also, if you are a chocolate lover like me, this is something you are gonna make very often.

Ingredients:

White sand-which bread - 4 slices
Chocolate shavings - 1 cup (or as much as desired)
Chocolate syrup - as much as desired (around 1/2 cup)
Roasted Almond shavings - 1/2 cup
Butter - 4 tb sp

Method:

- Apply butter to the bread slices on both sides around 1/2 tb sp on each side for all the slices
- Roast the bread slices on a heated pan till they turn golden brown and crispy. Use extra butter if required.
- Once done, place one slice in a serving plate and drizzle chocolate syrup and shavings on it.
- Next, place the second slice on top and repeat.
- Now, cut the sand-which in center or diagonally and then sprinkle the almonds on top.
- Repeat for the other bread slices and serve hot.

Tips:

- Use a good brand of chocolate for the syrup and shavings like Hershey's or Ghiradelli.
- You can use other syrups like caramel, strawberry etc as per your liking.
- Make sure the bread slices are nice and crisp for that crunch.
- Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on the bread if you like it.
- You can go crazy with the amount of chocolate by using extra syrup or shavings!
- Why not make it more interesting by serving a scoop of your favorite ice cream on the top!! Yumm!!

Healthy Twist:

- Instead of buttering up the bread to make them crisp, simply toast them in your toaster and follow rest of the process as mentioned. This will knock off considerable amount of calories as butter is skipped.
- Use dark chocolate instead or regular sweet chocolate, to avoid extra calories.
