Stuffed mushrooms



Mushroom fan? Then you have come to the right page. This snack is easy to prepare and tastes delicious! Enjoy it with your favorite wine.

Ingredients:

White mushrooms - 8 - 10 extra-large 
Garlic cloves minced - 4
Scallions, white and green parts, minced - 6 
Panko crumbs - 1/2 cup 
Cream cheese - 5 tb sp 
Fresh parsley leaves - 2 1/2 tablespoons, minced 
Italian seasoning - 1 tb sp
Green chilies - 1-2 finely chopped (optional)
You favorite cheese - 1/4 cup for topping
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Method:

- Remove the stems from the mushrooms and chop them finely. 
- Mix everything except the mushrooms caps and topping cheese and form a filling
- Fill the mushroom caps generously with the mixture and top it with your favorite cheese.
- Place these on an aluminium foil, on a baking tray and bake for about 30 min at 350 F. Serve hot!

Tips:

- This is another versatile dish because you can do so many variations! You can discard the mushroom stems and substitute it with chopped Italian sausage.
- Substitute the cream cheese with either Mascarpone or mozzarella cheese.

Healthy twist:

- Incorporate minced, half cooked broccoli and little cheddar cheese instead of the cream cheese and the topping of cheese.
